LINT CENTER ANNOUNCES 2011 VIRGINIA
AND FRANK MISSELHORN MEMORIAL
Lint Center for National
Security Studies Awards Scholarship to Undergraduate at the
University of Texas at Austin
WASHINGTON, D.C., 27 October 2011 – The
Lint Center, a non-profit charity, focused on supporting the
educational pursuits of the next generation of America’s
Counterintelligence and National Security Workers, today
formally announced that Sabeena Shaikh was awarded the Virginia
and Frank Misselhorn Memorial Scholarship.
“Being awarded this scholarship from the
Lint Center for National Security Studies is a honor and a much
appreciated helping hand,” said Sabeena Shaikh, an undergraduate
at the University of Texas at Austin. “I look
forward to working with my Lint Center mentor and leveraging all
the resources of the Center as I continue my studies in Texas.”
“The Lint Center was impressed by
Sebeena’s focus on alliance building between the US and emerging
South Asian nations,” said Dr. Anna Hyonjoo Lint, Chief
Operations Officer at the Lint Center for National Security
Studies. “Sabeena’s focus on India and Pakistan through the
Hindi Urdu Flagship at the University of Texas provides her with
a unique and valuable insight into cultures, peoples, and
nations.
We expect that she will utilize what she
learns in her studies by participating in the Center’s mentoring
program to make a valuable contribution towards alliance
building.”
About the 20011 Virginia and Frank
Misselhorn Memorial Scholarship:
The Virginia and
Frank Misselhorn Memorial Scholarship fund provides $500 to
recipients pursuing scholastic study in fields related to
Alliance Building, Counterintelligence, and National Security
studies. Shaikh will receive a national security mentor provided
by the Lint Center to provide guidance on his future endeavors.
Due to the generosity and continued
