Security Studies Announces 2010 ‘Virginia and Frank Misselhorn
Memorial Scholarship
WASHINGTON, D.C.,
1 October 2010 – The Lint Center for National Security Studies,
a non-profit charity based in Aberdeen, Md., awarded the 2010
Virginia and Frank Misselhorn Memorial Scholarship to Jordan
Daniels. The scholarship aims to identify, support and mentor an
emerging leader focused on Alliance Building,
Counterintelligence and National Security studies.
The Virginia and Frank Misselhorn
Memorial Scholarship provides $500 to cover educational
expenses, a mentor from the Lint Center and a one year
subscription to STRATFOR’s global team of intelligence
professionals which provides an audience of decision-makers and
sophisticated news consumers in the U.S. and around the world
with unique insights into political, economic, and military
developments.
“This is a great honor for me and I
am extremely grateful to be awarded a scholarship from the Lint
Center for National Security Studies,” said Jordan Daniels, an
undergraduate student at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh
School of Foreign Service. “This scholarship will enable me to
pursue extracurricular activities like the School of Foreign
Service Academic Council and it will
allow me to focus on my current internship with the Homeland
Security Advisory Council. I look forward to working with the
Lint Center and to receiving a mentor who can serve as a
strategic sounding board for me as I continue my undergraduate
studies at Georgetown.”

The
Virginia and Frank Misselhorn Memorial Scholarship aims to
identify, support, and mentor an emerging leader focused on
Alliance Building, Counterintelligence and National Security
studies. The scholarship award fund provides $500 to the winner
to assist with tuition and other educational costs, a mentor
from the Lint Center as well as a one year subscription to
STRATFOR.
The Lint Center for National
Security Studies, Inc., founded in 2007, is a non-profit IRS
501(c)3 organization created to award merit-based scholarships
for counterintelligence and national security workers
nationwide, their children, and scholars, and to advance the
study of national security, cross-cultural studies, and global
understanding. Scholarships are awarded semi-annually, in
January and July. The Center is veteran and minority-operated
and managed.
