The Lint Center for National Security Studies is pleased to unveil two merit-based scholarship opportunities for its upcoming July 2013 scholarship competition. The recently announced scholarship opportunities will provide $2,000, participation in its widely herald mentoring program from experienced national security practitioners, as well as a complimentary annual subscription to STRATFOR, the leading provider of unparalleled geopolitical intelligence, analysis, and forecasting.
The deadline to submit applications for the following scholarships is July 31, 2013:
Winning applicants will be afforded an experienced national security practitioner-mentor, either connected with the winner’s field of interest or otherwise able to guide them in their path in choosing a field. With over 200 mentors, the Lint Center is well positioned to match emerging leaders with practitioners and other individuals who can provide the feedback, context, and contacts to expedite the development as well as streamline the learning curve of mentees. The Lint Center Scholarship Review Committee evaluates applicants on the strength of their academic records, essay on Counterintelligence or National Security, personal essay, resume, recommendation letters, and the likeliness and extent to which the applicant will take advantage of the opportunities afforded to them by the Lint Scholarship award and mentorship offering. The Lint Center for National Security Studies has awarded 28 scholarships since 2007 and focuses on awarding merit-based scholarships for National Security Workers, their children and scholars, and to advance the study of National Security, cross-cultural studies, and global understanding.
