Jonathan Deemer was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a third-year undergraduate at Union College in Lincoln, Jonathan is studying international relations and business finance. On campus, Jonathan is the Vice President of the college’s United Nations Association chapter, as well as the captain of the basketball team, class president, and a member of the Student Senate. Off campus, Jonathan has been involved in a number of internships, including those with Nebraska State Senator Brett Lindstrom, U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, and the Hudson Institute’s Center for Political-Military Analysis. Over the coming summer, he will be in Washington, D.C. for the American Enterprise Institute’s Summer Honors Policy Studies Program. Immediately following, he will be in Stuttgart, Germany interning with the U.S. European Command. After his undergraduate studies, Jonathan plans to pursue a joint degree including a Juris Doctor and a Master’s Degree in International Relations. As an Officer Candidate in the U.S. Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Class, Jonathan will commission as a 2nd Lieutenant after graduation from law school.
