About the Award:

The President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation (the Council) was established in 2003 to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers are making in our communities and encourage more people to serve. The Council created the President’s Volunteer Service Award program as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service. The program continues as an initiative of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).

Recognizing and honoring volunteers sets a standard for service, encourages a sustained commitment to civic participation and inspires other to make service a central part of their lives.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging United States citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residents of the United States through presidential recognition to live a life of service.

Lint Center Celebrates Five-Year Milestone!

Empower, Enhance, Enable…

LC_Fireworks

The Lint Center for National Security Studies is proud to commemorate 5 years of service this August 4.

The Center and its affiliates remain dedicated to fostering the development of future National Security and Intelligence communities by providing individuals with scholarship opportunities and mentorship.

Looking back over the past 5 years, we would be sorely remised if we failed to acknowledge that the Lint Center’s success is due, in large part, to the dedication and passion of our all-volunteer team. In turn, we would like to thank every member of our team.

After 5 years, our mission, our goal, and our driving purpose remains, as it always has been, to: Empower, Enhance, and Enable the next generation.

May the next 5 outshine the last.

To all those who made and continue to make our work possible – Thank you!

– The Lint Center Team
